About John:

Throughout his career, John Bishop has served as the play-by-play announcer for Creighton Baseball, The College World Series, and has worked as a sports reporter for NET's coverage of State Football Championships and College Baseball.  In addition, he has hosted the pre and post-game shows for Nebraska Cornhusker Football and was the play-by-play announcer for KOLN-KGIN’s statewide television coverage of the Boys and Girls State Basketball Championships.

Bishop is a lifelong Nebraskan having grown up in Fremont and is a 1994 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

 

About Mike'l Severe:

As the youngest of five children, Mike'l grew up all over the United States, but spent his formative years in New Orleans, La.  In December of 1995, Mike'l graduated from San Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Broadcasting and a minor in Sociology.

Mike'l began his broadcasting career in New Orleans as a sports producer for New Orleans Saints Player shows.  After a year, Mike'l made the transition to Sports/News Reporter in Monroe, La.  While in Monroe, Mike'l worked the 1997 NBA All-star in Cleveland, Ohio, following Northeast Louisiana Natives Karl Malone and Scottie Pippen.

One year later, Mike'l became the morning show anchor.  After two years in Northeast Louisiana, Mike'l accepted a job as education reporter in Albuquerque, N.M., with ABC affiliate KOAT-TV.  As a reporter in Albuquerque, Mike'l won the New Mexico Broadcasters Award for Best Reporting.  Mike'l also helped cover the largest man made wild fire in U.S. history in Los Alamos, N.M.

Four years later Mike'l joined KETV-TV and First News as the morning reporter. Mike'l joined  KOZN-1620 the Zone to co-host of Unsportsmanlike Conduct with Kevin Kugler in 2003.

In his time off, you'll find Mike'l watching sports -- college football on Saturdays and the NFL on Sundays.
